This colouring picture was kindly created and shared by a (YEAR-1) pupil at Oakhill School in Lancashire.
The drawing is provided in response to an initiative which is aimed to bridge the gap between elderly people living in isolation especially those diagnosed with dementia and the provision of accessible activity resources.
The purpose of the project is to connect our local community services, volunteers and dementia services with a range of accessible resources and activities created by our community. We invite schools, colleges, art groups, families to design pictures which can be coloured-in/ painted by people who may be experiencing anxiety and loneliness. We welcome all resources, drawings, puzzles quizzes, themed drawings. Ideas include: pictures of things of yesterday and things of today, imagination drawings, sports.
Access to this resource/ download is actively promoted via local services such as memory clinics, GP practices and community services.
The Project is Supported by the East Lancashire CCG, and the Hyndburn and Ribble Valley CVS.
