My Colourful Memories C.I.C. is an established brand of the arts-health practice, focusing on stimulating emotional connectivity and interrelatedness between family, care providers and people who live with dementia through the provision of creative activities.
The value of the practice is drawn from a considerable amount of professional and personal experiences combined with rigours of research, philosophy, theory, evaluation, and dissemination that define the practice.
My Colourful Memories was orientated as a participatory arts-health practice at the University of Central Lancashire which involved working extensively with people who experience Dementia. The re-orientation of MCM-direct is to serve wider communities through the provision of assessable community activity resources.
A vast majority of the resources featured on the MCM-Direct web-site have been kindly created by local schools and colleges, these can be downloaded and used for ‘Free’.
Additionally, we provide premium ‘downloads’ which are ideal for care staff, activity co-ordinators and practitioners to use. These are available through our low-cost subscription plans, we provide a ‘Free’ subscription plan which permits users to download 3 premium downloads. All profits which are gained from downloads and subscription sales are used to support people who live with dementia.
